Vaccine-Mandatory Show: Explanation and How-To 

For the safety and comfort of our artists, volunteers, audience members and community, the performances of A More Sparkling Version of Ourselves are vaccine-mandatory. This decision has been made to keep the safety of our guests in the highest of priorities. Only those who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to attend this show that plays from Sept 16-25 at West Village Theatre. More information is below. Note that this policy falls in line with the Government of Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program.

If you plan on attending the show, you will need to be prepared to bring proof of your vaccination status AND your ID at the time of the show. Verb Theatre will not retain and personal documentation.

Here are two options for bringing proof of vaccination for the show:

1. You can bring a copy or a photo (picture on your phone is fine) of your second (2 of 2) COVID-19 “Client Immunization Record” that you should have received when you had your second vaccination. This information will only have your name, birthdate, the date and where you received your vaccination, as well as the type of vaccination used. If you did not receive this sheet, or you have misplaced it, contact your doctor or your local pharmacy for assistance in finding and printing it.

2. -Go to MyHealth Alberta - https://myhealth.alberta.ca/myhealthrecords

-Click “Get your vaccine card” below ‘COVID 19 Vaccination Record’. This will open a new tab/window.

-Click “Yes” underneath the heading: ‘Are you seeking your card-sized vaccine record?’

-Enter your data. Click “Enter”.

-Then download the PDF, or take a screenshot of it!

None of the vaccine records will be recorded or saved by any staff, volunteer, or artistic members of Verb Theatre or West Village Theatre. This decision was made for the safety and comfort of all Verb Theatre staff, artists, and volunteers. We thank you all for helping make our space as healthy as it can be!

If you are not able to get vaccinated because you are medically exempt and you would still like to attend a show, a recent negative Covid-19 test will be accepted (conducted in the previous 72 hours). Our show is recommended for viewers age 12+, but if you are bringing a child younger than 12, they are obviously exempt from vaccination requirements, however they would be asked to wear a mask.

Note: In response to the current health measures, masks will be mandatory for all audience members. We will provide masks in case you forget!
